About Us

Welcome to official webpage of BCC Kent UK.

Buddhist Community Centre Kent, UK (BCC Kent) is a charitable and non-profit making organization devoted to practicing Lord Buddha’s profound teachings and provide a place for various ritual ceremonies such as naming, weddings, weaning and funerals as well as holding conferences, pujas and group meditation sessions in Mahayana Buddhist tradition of Nyingma Lineage.

Kent has the second largest Nepalese Buddhist Community in the UK and the numbers are growing day by day. The growing population of Buddha Dharma practitioners necessitated the establishment of BCC Kent in order to build a Mahayana Buddhist Monastery, which will offer services to everyone ranging from the general public to individuals that are already practicing Buddhism or simply require a place for peaceful meditation or relaxation.

The principle objectives of the Buddhist Community Centre Kent, UK (BCC Kent) are:

  • To enlighten the Mahayana tradition of Buddhism and the peaceful solutions that will benefit the members of the community by holding various prayers, public talks, conferences, religious festivals, public celebration as well as producing and distributing literature material.
  • To build a dedicated place and offer an opportunity for individuals to develop lasting peace through meditation or ritual practices. To establish and maintain a link to integrate with the wider communities and other faiths to benefit from it.
